We did a lot of contacting this week. It was a pretty normal week. We talked to some fun people though!
There was a woman we stopped and chatted with for a minute and she wanted to show us a picture of her paintings. She started digging through her bag to find her phone and she had some pretzels that she pulled out. She then gave the pretzels to us! She kept speaking French too. I was so confused. French and Croatian. My mind was struggling to keep up. We saw the pictures on her phone then went on our way. We saw her later and she was stoked to see us again! She had us take her picture posing on top of one of the wells. It was hilarious. She walked up to the well and danced back and forth on her toes and jumped up on the well. Then we took her picture. We started to walk away and she took a picture of us! It was a little weird, but it was funny.
There was a guy we met who was from Zadar but moved to Australia and has been back in Zadar for three years. He was awesome! We chatted in English with him. He stopped us actually and asked where we were from because we were speaking English.
We were walking around contacting and Sister Elmore started whistling some hymns as we walked, and a man on a boat (we were next to the harbor) stopped us and asked what she was whistling! We talked to him about the church a little and moved on.
One of the days this week was so windy. For those of you who don't know, I hate the wind. SO much. I think God is teaching me to be patient. And to get over the wind. But! While it was so windy and I wasn't pleased, I told myself that I wasn't going to be upset or say anything negative about the wind that whole day. And! I honestly felt a difference. I was a lot happier and the wind didn't make me so mad. Man, God is so good to me.
There is a picture attached that has a line across the sidewalk. That line is a bunch of caterpillars. If you look at the next picture, I zoomed in on the caterpillars. There was a beautiful sunset this week. It was SO pretty!!
I hope you all have a great week! Love you!
Love,
Sister Locey
