Hello everyone!
 |
This picture is of the wind blowing the water on our drive to Zagreb. If you look close the wind is blowing so hard there is mist coming off the water. |
This week was great! We had Zone Conference and the meeting was amazing. We had Elder and Sister Adler here from Germany and they were fantastic!! He made us some promises and I am very excited for the blessings that will come! He told us that if we testify of Christ every night with our companion for 30 days and don't miss a day, our testimonies will be strengthened and the language will not be a concern for us after. I want both of those things and I feel like I have already felt a change. I don't think my language ability has dramatically increased in the past few days, but my attitude has changed a little and my willingness to just try has increased. And I think my confidence and comfortableness has gone up a little too. I don't know why but I am always so nervous when I try to speak in the language. I am concerned I am going to make all of these mistakes. I know it's how we learn but I keep trying to not.

On our way to Zone Conference, we drove with the Rotheys. We took the bus home that night. The wind was so bad on the way there that the main freeway was closed so we had to take a longer route. The wind was still really bad so we were about a half hour late to the meeting. The elders took the bus there and were about an hour and a half late!
After the meeting, I was able to chat with some of my missionary friends! I saw Elder Isom and was STOKED! It was so good to see him again and chat with him! I saw some other friends too and it was so great to chat with them all! It was lovely.
On Friday we went back for lunch and we got a call from the Elders. They asked if we had a push broom. We said no. We asked why. They said that their washer broke, and their apartment flooded. We were like WHAT!? They said they had things taken care of but we said to let us know if they need anything. They said okay and thanks and hung up. We got a call a little while later and they asked if we had any extra towels. We gathered our extra towels, got some from the senior couple, and we all took the towels to them. Poor things, it looked like it was a mess. But they got it all cleaned up and I think things are fine now!
I love you all!
Love,
Sestra Locey
