Hey!
I don't have a ton of time this week. The STLs are here from Banja Luka; we are doing exchanges.
General Conference was AMAZING and I loved it so much! We watched most of it in Croatian though, so it was hard to understand. But the parts that I picked out were exactly what I needed to hear. Obviously. Heavenly Father is so good to me. And the English that I did watch was amazing and I loved it.
I am working on trusting God more. I realized that I thought I was pretty good at it but I am not. I am not terrible at it, it's just something I need to work on more. I get scared and don't contact people and that is when I am trusting God less. I don't like to feel dumb and when I speak in Bosnian and it doesn't really come out and when others speak in Bosnian and I don't understand, I feel dumb. But I need to 1) get over myself and 2) trust God. He has promised in many places in the scriptures that I just need to open my mouth and He will fill it! So that's what I am working on. But I also recognize that I need to grow somehow and I think that will come through feeling dumb a little bit. I would also like to say I know I am not dumb, I just feel like it sometimes. (:
Are chestnuts roasted on an open fire good? They have a bajillion street vendors here who have chestnuts roasting on an open fire (yes Mom, that song has been stuck in my head for the past week or so) but we don't know if they are good or not. I think I will try one this week.
In the movie What's Up Doc, there is a line where Fritz (is that his name?) says, "This is not the Crystal, this is the Bristol!" (or whatever he says) and she says, "Well, then one of us must be in the wrong hotel." And it is so funny. Anyway, there's a Bristol hotel here and whenever we pass it, I think of that part. I love that movie. It's so funny. My companion, sadly, has not seen it.
I love you all lots!
S ljubavlju,
Sestra Locey
I forgot, it was SO cold this week. But it has been getting warmer for now. I think it will get colder soon.
Also! Transfers are next week! That is crazy to me. (Their transfers are nine weeks.)
