First P-Day--Saturday, June 18, 2016

We were able to email back and forth a little today! :)

Dear Mom,

It has been crazy. I don't speak Croatian. At all. That's all they speak in class though. I heard stories of people going and that happening but I guess I didn't put myself in that situation. But it was very panicky. That has been the word to describe what has been happening the past three days. Panic.

We taught our first investigator yesterday. In Croatian. Like I said, I don't speak Croatian. Before we went in we said a prayer and I started to tear up because I was nervous and so scared and I didn't know what I was doing. Then I told myself that it would be okay. I then proceeded to giggle. The entire lesson. Just like Dad does in sacrament meeting when he's nervous. Oh my. It was so bad. It might not have been that bad but I was terrible. It's only a little bit comical looking back on it. Later I will laugh more about it.

Besides that, nothing else has been overly stressful. Well, everything is stressful here right now but everyone keeps telling me that it gets better so I'm just going along until it does.

There's a six am exercise class for the sisters and we went to it today. (We = my companion and I.) And it was pretty good! I am tired all the time. I have trouble falling asleep so getting up earlier is no fun but I think my body just needs some time to get used to it.

My companion is the cutest. We are pretty similar and that is nice. She LOVES running. I like running. We had exercise time yesterday and we ran outside and I was dying. I don't think we even ran a mile. Oh my. It is so hot outside at 2 in the afternoon. We also played some volley ball. I am terrible at volley ball.

We have six of us in our room. There's a set of missionaries going to the Salt Lake area and the other set is going to Poland! They leave Monday and Tuesday. We are hoping that we don't have new missionaries come into our room because then we can have the whole room to ourselves! I think that's unlikely though.

I don't know what else to write. I love you all and hope things are going well!

Love,
Sestra Locey

Dear Mom,

I got the DearElder letters but I haven't read them yet. I guess I could've read them yesterday but I don't remember what I did instead. Anyway. I thought it was nice of Ford to write one too! I saw his name when I glanced at it and the other one was long so I'm guessing it was from you but I wasn't sure. I'll read them and respond next week hopefully!

Tell Karen thank you!

Love,
Sestra Locey

(It's weird not having a first name anymore.)
